Spring Break '10 at the Lake

Spring Break '10 was a lot different than Spring Break '01! There weren't any beer bongs, sleezy pick-up lines, skimpy bikinis, or partying on the beach with friends. This was more of a laid back, read your book, chase your toddler, do some projects, and hit the outlet mall with your mom kind of spring break! Although things have changed drastically, I wouldn't change it for the world.
We began our 5 hour drive on Monday morning. Mya had lots of Barney videos, snacks, and toys to keep her busy. She did AWESOME! She was pretty quiet for the first 3 hours and slept for the remaining 2 hours. We couldn't have asked for a more cooperative 18 month old!

Once we arrived, Mya was eager to get out and play!

Tuesday was a gorgeous day, 70 degrees and sunny! We got Mya in her gear and headed for the dock! No boat ride this trip, but we are looking forward to it on our next trip to the lake!

Just a shot of her cute little feet! It was so warm we turned her pants into capris!

We did lots of projects with Mya during the week. She loved playing with the play-doh! We were using a garlic press to make lots of worms! We also did some fingerpainting! It deserves a blogpost all of it's own!
What do you see, Mya? She enjoys the beautiful view from the deck.

So she wasn't a perfect angel the entire trip. Here she is caught in the act....throwing a tantrum because she didn't want to go inside.

Mya wishing Gracie could come inside and play.
Mya loved these blocks... she even figure out how to put the correct shape into the correct hole... GENIUS!

Mya learned how to take off her own diaper. She was LOVING running around NAKED! She decided to try to figure out how to work the DVD player. Gracie watched on.

Naked baby kisses for Gracie.
My mom found Mya half way up the ladder that was in one of the bedrooms. Not sure when she got so brave? But, she loved it! She figured out if she bent down, she could see herself in the mirror.

She was gazing out the skylight.

And, covering her boobies for the camera. Good Girl!
Our traditional photos on the deck were taken before we said "good-bye" to the lake!

Once we were back on the farm, Papa took Mya to visit the horses.
