Coolest Gift Ever!

Today, Mya got a belated birthday gift from her Auntie Katie and Uncle Chris (and lil' baby O'Neill). It may be one of the coolest gifts ever! She got a book written about HER! It is a story based completely on her name Mya Wiegman. Here are some pics of the book! I can't wait to read it to her!

Thanks O'Neill Family! Hugs and Kisses! :0)

Cry for Help

This posting is a cry for help. I am reaching out to my friends and family for support and advice. I am involved in an abusive relationship. It's true.... my daughter beats me. I don't know what to do! She thinks it's absolutely hysterical. I know what everyone will say, you have to get her under control. She will continue to hurt you and begin hurting others. I know. I know. What do I do? I have tried the firm "NO!" She laughs. I have grabbed and held her hands. She laughs. I have pretended to cry. She laughs even harder.

I need help. What do I do?

Loving the Fall Weather!

The weather couldn't have been more perfecct for a fall afternoon with the family!

The family hanging out in the front yard. We had appetizers, drinks, and toys! We may have looked a little white trash, but we had a great time!

Uncle Steve hangin' with the kids. Mya is still trying to "figure" him out.
No tears today....just lots of stares. I think he is winning her over!
Our new garage sale purchase! The kids loved this tent/tube!
Mya wasn't so sure at first...

I don't know guys, it looks kind of scary!

Ok, maybe I'll come in for a minute!

Mya hangs with the kids in the tent!

She's outta there! Traveling down the tube! Here I come Momma!

Almost there....

I made it!

Maniac in the Works!

Mya has quickly taken up walking! She has gone from rolling, to crawling, to walking (while holding on) in only a couple of months. It seems to take her awhile to start, but once she's got it she's a mover! She loves to walk holding on to her "walker." You can see the look of pride all over her face as she zooms through the house! Although she gets very angry when she hits the wall, a toy, or furniture. Chasing her all over the house and turning her around is definitely a workout for Mommy. But, I am loving watching her continue to grow! I know it is only a matter of time before she is off and running all on her own! Poor Jasmine really has to be on her paws now....otherwise she'll get run over!

Up To No Good!

I will be the first to admit that there are times when I get busy doing something and my quick crawler sneaks away for a little getaway! I can usually hear what she's up to, but when it becomes very quiet I start to worry! It typically means she has found something that has caught her attention and is keeping her busy.

Getaway #1: The other day I found Mya "sorting laundry." She seems to have some sort of fascination with clothes.... scary that she is only 1 year old! She loves to go through the laundry and even try on some of her Mommy's clothes! Unfortunately, she doesn't care if they are clean or dirty! Regardless, it keeps her busy for a long time... and Mommy likes that!

Getaway #2: Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky! Mya LOVES her some goldfish! A crumby day can turn into a good day for Mya if she is offered some goldfish! Again, I found myself busy working on something and noticed an eery silence. No, Mya wasn't napping? Hmmm... she must be up to something! Sure enough... I found her in the foyer. She had dug into her baby bag, found the snackpack of goldfish, found her sippy of milk, and was enjoying a peaceful snack all by herself! She's way too independent!

Getaway #3: I babysit for Addison and Brooke every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The 3 girls are definitely triple trouble! Not only do I have to worry about Mya getting into everything, but I also have to worry about the twins. Luckily, where 1 goes, the others are usually quick to follow. For some reason the 3 of them love to "hang out" by the stairs. I think they are waiting for an "appearance" by the one and only Jasmine. Sly Jasmine thought she was in a safe hiding spot.... until Mya spotted her! Sorry Jasmine!

Happy Birthday, BABY GIRL!

Today is my baby girl's birthday! A year ago today, I welcomed my AWESOME daughter into this world!
We've been celebrating her birthday (birthmonth) for the last couple of weeks. Like her mommy, she likes to steeeeeetch out her birthday as long as possible. The celebration began a few weeks ago with Matt's family. On Monday, we celebrated with my sister and family. Finally, this morning we celebrated just the 3 of us! What a lucky girl my little MyMy is!

Mya LOVED the balloons Daddy got her!

Mimi Rey got Mya her "ladybug" dress. She looked so cute!

The Birthday Girl

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of their birthday girl! She is definitely the center of our world!

The Kuehl Family helps us celebrate!

Yes, it's cupcake time!!!

She wasn't so timid the second time around.
...she dug right in!

Mya got a camera for her birthday! Hmmm..... Mya'sblog.blogspot.com??? I can see it now!

Bear Down, Chicago Bears!

It's the long awaited FIRST Bears Game! We have been waiting for this day for MONTHS! The Wiegmans were geared up and ready to go! Let's get a WIN!

Another Jammed Pack Weekend

We went to Bloomington this weekend for my cousin Amy's wedding. We decided it would be easier, and more fun, if we went without Mya. She stayed at Grandma Diane's for her first slumber party without Mommy and Daddy. We were a little nervous about it so we spent the night there on Friday with her before she was on her own on Saturday. She did a great job, and I don't really think she missed us much! Grandma Diane is great about playing with her and keeping her busy! We are so lucky to have her!
Mya was listening to the message we left her on her cellphone.

Our first stop, once in Bloomington, was to meet our new little friend, Isabel Marie Funk. She was born on September 10th to our friends, Kristy and Ben. She is absolutely beautiful! She is jaundice so she has to spend most of her time in her "tanning bed." Lucky for us, it was feeding time when we arrived so we got to hold her! I love my little Izzy and can't wait to watch her grow. Mya is almost 1 year older than her! I can't wait for them to be friends!

(We love her name.... Mya's middle name Isabel.... My middle name Marie..... of course, Funk- a family name!)
Mommy checking on Izzy while she's in her "tanning bed" Auntie Rachel holding her lil' Izzy. Oh boy, I think I'm starting to ovulate! :0)
I even think Matt is getting BABY FEVER!

You can't beat a warm, September day watching some football in the Pub II beer garden!
Cheese balls and beer... YUMMY!
Matt even admitted going to ISU may not have been so bad afterall!

FUNK'S GROVE BARN TOUR

Our family barn was featured in the Funk's Grove Township Barn Tour. Lots and lots of barn "enthusiasts" toured the many barns in the Funk's Grove Township. My dad was thrilled to share his knowledge and love of the barn with the tourists. We even got a tour... I was shocked, and a bit embarrassed, that I didn't know much about my very own barn! It really is quite awesome!

Front view of the barn- One tourists stated our barn was one of the "best" in the area.
Side view of the barn. An "elevator" is used to raise and lower hay into the attic through the side upstairs window.
A pulley system in the barn's attic designed to lift hay from below into the storage area.

A view of the cattle and horses from the attic window.

Some of the stables on the main floor. We sometimes keep our horses in here.

My dad showing us some of the features in one of the stalls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANDRA!

Today is Andra's 33rd birthday. We celebrated with cake and presents this morning before we all left Mimi and Papa's house!
