What a Week!!!

Wow, what a week we had!  From Thanksgiving to train rides to getting into the holiday spirit.... we accomplished a lot!
I'll let the pictures do most of the explaining!

Thanksgiving Eve at the Wiegman's
This was about our 15th attempt at taking a family picture!  Self-timer, 6 adults, and 4 kids don't make it very easy!  This was about the best we got.  I think I'm in trouble....I look like I am 9 months pregnant.... I'm not even 4!

The kids had a blast putting on a fashion show after dinner.  Carly was Mya's stylist.  This outfit was a bit risque!
 Thanksgiving at the Woodyatt's
(Matt's Aunt and Uncle)
Mya and Quentin
I took a zillion pictures of the two of them.  Unfortunately, one of them was always on the move or looking away.
As we were leaving this was their conversation, "I love you Twen-Twen.  I love you My My."

 Thanksgiving Morning at Auntie Andra's
and Ah-Steve's (Uncle Steve)
The kids worked diligently at making their turkey cookies.  They had more chocolate on themselves than on the cookies.  But... they had a blast!

Train Ride
We decided to take Mya for a train adventure on Saturday.  She loves trains and was SO excited to take a ride.  We boarded at the Barrington Station and got off at the Arlington Heights Station.  We had a nice lunch together and enjoyed a yummy gelato before heading back to the station.  We were a bit early and the station was locked!  We ended up "exploring" Jewel!  We felt like we were homeless and were simply looking for somewhere to "warm-up." Mya was a trooper and didn't seem a bit bothered by our passing of time!

Tis the Season to be Jolly!
Last year, Matt insisted on starting a new family tradition. We traveled over an hour away to cut down our own tree. It was miserable cold, we had to walk a mile to find an ugly $100 tree, our hand saw wasn't worth jack, and Mya screamed the entire time! This year, we decided to make a new tradition. We traveled 2 minutes to our nearest Home Depot, picked out a beautiful $40 tree, had the sales guy wrap it up, and Mya was all smiles!!!

Mya was such a helper! She helped water the tree, put on the lights, and only shattered 1 glass ornament!

Of course, our little angel put the star on the tree! TAH-DAH! Beautiful!

And the stockings were hung with care!
After a long day, Daddy and Mya enjoyed a fire in the fireplace!

Oh Boy! Or...Girl!

That's right!  It's one or the other and "it's" due in May!  We are very excited to welcome Baby Wiegman #2 into this crazy family!  We had our 12 week ultrasound today.  We had hoped to maybe get a sneak peak at the baby's "goods" but no such luck!  He was in perfect position to do some other preliminary tests, but she wouldn't flip over to see exactly what we will be delivering in May!  Regardless, we'd just like a healthy baby!

I am finally feeling a little better.  I was blessed, yet again, with extreme fatigue and morning-noon-night sickness!  Although I was even sicker when I was pregnant with Mya, I could curl up into fetal position and sleep away my misery.  With this pregnancy, I've had to cope with feeling sick and tired while entertaining and chasing an energetic 2 year-old! I know in the end it's all worth it! I am just pushing through and trying to enjoy my pregnancy!

Mya seems to be very excited for Mommy to have a baby.  She kisses my tummy and tells people Mommy has a baby in her tummy. I am sure she is completely confused about how I actually have a baby in there.  She has even told me she has a baby in her tummy.  She's also taken one of her dolls and shoved it under my shirt.  Oh, the innocence!  Hopefully her enthusiasm continues when this little peanut turns her world upside down!

More updates to come on Baby W #2!
For now, here's a photo of our little one! It's hard to tell in this, but he/she had an adorable little nose and had her hand up in the air waving in one picture!  Even though we've gone through this before, it always amazes me what is actually happening in my tummy!!!!

What do you think? Boy or Girl????

Lincoln Park Zoo

We spent this gorgeous Sunday at the Lincoln Park Zoo! I can't say enough fabulous things about this zoo! First of all, it's free!! Secondly, you can get extremely close to the wide variety of animals.  Matt always hesitates to visit zoos because he feels they aren't big enough habitats for the wild animals.  While I tend to agree, I did feel like the exhibits were fairly large and "entertaining" for the caged animals.  I think we'll be visiting here again!

We started off our zoo visit at the Farm Exhibit.  It was a great starting place, as it was the only open building before the zoo officially opened and it was rather chilly at 9:30 this morning.  However, it's hard to excited about the farm exhibit when we have a real-life farm to visit at Mimi and Papa's.  But, we enjoyed it, nonetheless.

Mya and Daddy driving the tractor.  I think Daddy enjoyed this the best! ;-)

Uncle Eric and Quentin met us at the zoo.  I always love seeing Mya and Quentin interacting.  Quentin, the adventurous/active one, couldn't have been more excited to ride the train! Mya, the scaredy cat, was a bit hesitant.  But, after locking her into the train car with Quentin, she seemed to relax and enjoy herself.

Mya's trademark- I'm nervous!- Her hand in her mouth!

Great picture!

Could they get any cuter?

That's a sleeping bear behind them!

Quentin stops to hug My My!

Quentin is older....Mya is taller!

Halloween

This Halloween with Mya was much more fun than last.  She kind of understood the concept and had a blast being a trick-or treater!

Our neighbors had a Halloween Party.  We then went out with a large group to do some more trick-or-treating.  This was the first time that I have felt like my little baby was growing up.  She went up to the houses with the "big kids" while Mommy and Daddy stood with the other parents and watched on.

Our little kitty cat trick-or-treating!

Mommy had to accompany Mya at first.  She was a little confused.  She would say "trick or treat" all the way to the door and then freeze-up when the person opened the door.

Mya got SUPER excited when trick-or-treaters came to the door.  She would run to the door screaming "SUCKER!"  She thought she got a sucker everytime someone came to the door.  We then found her hiding with the bucket of candy.  She had opened multiple suckers, taken a lick, and then put into a pile.  Sneaky little kitty!

I made these cupcakes for the party.  I was pretty impressed with myself! I never pride myself on being a baker....but they were cute and tasted yummy too!

HOFF-O-WEEN
Matt's friend, Matt Hoffman, was on Big Brother (CBS reality show) this season.  It was so fun (and  stressful and embarrassing) to watch him on the show.  He didn't always make the best impression, but he really is a good guy.  Every year, he has a Hoff-o-ween party.  We made an extra effort to go to the party this year because some of the other Big Brother castmembers were going to be there!  I have always been a fan of the show (even before Hoff was on it) so I was pretty starstruck.

Matt is going to kill me for this.... BUT... it's the only decent picture I got with castmembers Kristen and Ragan.  This was at about 11:00 and jello-shots were being passed around.  Matt was John McEnroe (tennis player), Kristen (Super hero???), and Ragan (Jesus).

Matt with Hoff (Brittany from BB) and his friend Ben Kim (Asian Elvis)

Matt and Rachel before we left for the party.  I was a cat....lame, I know.

A Special Day

Lucky us, we got invited to go to the American Girl store with Auntie Andra, Mimi, and Cici for Cici's 8th birthday!!! We were so excited to see what this store is all about!  Cici let Mya borrow one of her American Girl dolls for the trip to the city.  We got dressed up and ready to go shop and eat!  Mommy tried to put aside her "no-nap anxiety" and we headed for Chicago for a day filled with baby doll fun!!!

Mya was excited to go to the "baby" store!

Our two beautiful "babies" with their "babies!" Mya insisted that only Cici push her in the stroller!
Do you think Mya has an idol?

The Birthday Girl with her baby at the American Girl Cafe.

Not the best picture...but Mommy and Mya at the cafe.

Mya didn't last long in the stroller!  She was more interested in pushing her baby.
Taking a little break while Cici got her baby's hair done at the beauty salon.  Yes, beauty salon for American Girl dolls. This place is insane!  Mya's baby's hair is a frizzy mess!  We inquired about getting it fixed.  Their response, "You'll need to take her to the American Girl Hospital and get her an entirely new head."  Eeek... a new head would be $48!  I sometimes wish I could send in for a new head when my hair is a mess!

Taking another little break with her baby!
We had a fantastic time at the American Girl Store!! A big thank you to Auntie and Cici for invited us!!!
