My Baby is 3... Part 1

Mya Isabelle is 3! I can't even believe it!

Her stats:
Weight: 33.4 lbs (80%)
Height: 39.5 in (92%)

Mya LOVES anything to do with her babies, play doh, biking, playing outside, goldfish crackers, berries, water, chicken nuggets, and hotdogs!

She is a fantastic sleeper! She still naps from 2-4ish daily without much of a fuss at all! All she needs are her lovies- Pinky, Ducky, and Bompy.  Nightly, she typically sleeps from 7-7!

She ADORES her Daddy.... often following him, minicking him, and craving his attention!
She is FASCINATED by her little brother.... often questioning why he is watching her, grabbing her, or laughing at her!
She LOVES her Momma.... often telling her she loves her bigger than an elephant!

Here are some pictures from Mya's birthday morning!

She was so excited to see what she was going to get!

Is it her birthday or Christmas?

Mya got a double stroller just like Mommy's! She's obsessed with this!

SO HAPPY!

OMG.... what happened to my baby? I bought a little tricycle during Spring that she struggled learning to ride.  A few months later and she's riding a BIG bike with training wheels! She went outside to ride her new bike first thing in the morning. She drew a crowd! Multiple neighbors were outside cheering her on and taking her picture! I LOVE our neighborhood!

Luke is 4 Months Old

Luke is most commonly known as Duke or Lukey around our house.  He continues to be a fantastic 4 month old baby!!!  Here are a few stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 13 oz (75%)
Height: 27 in (97%)
Head: 41 cm (20%)

This month, Luke realized that he has hands! I often find him looking at them as if they are the most unbelievable things on earth! He is starting to reach, grab, and pull at things.  He loves spending time in his bouncy seat and is often able to get the thing rocking so hard he looks as if he will spring right out of it! He also enjoys spending time in his exersaucer and on his playmat.

Luke continues to be a pretty good sleeper. He naps ever 2 hours creating a morning, midday, and evening nap. His bedtime is around 7pm and he usually sleeps until about 5:30am.  After having a nasty cold 2 weeks ago, he began getting up in the night! UGH! We have been TRYING to successfully get him back to sleeping through the night with the much dreaded sleep training! Letting a 4 month old "cry it out" is one of the hardest things to do! Hopefully, after a few nights of screaming, he will get back to sleeping through consistently.

Luke is still one of the very happiest babies I have ever been around! He smiles ALL OF THE TIME and is so easy natured. He doesn't cry often, and when he does there is usually a good reason. He thinks his big sister is the absolute coolest person around! All she has to do is look at him and he smiles. When she acts goofy and silly.... forget about it... she has him in complete hysterics!

I may be biased... but I think he is just beautiful!

I was cracking up taking his pictures. He would give me a big smile and as soon as the flash went off, he would make this goofy face! I took about 30 pictures and got this face probably 20 times!

SO HAPPY!

Mimi and Papa's House

Matt organized a fraternity alumni reunion at Bradley for last weekend. We left the kids with my parents and headed to Peoria to party like college rockstars! I won't go into the gruesome details of a bunch of 30 somethings trying to hang as if we were a bunch of college kids! So, instead, I'll share some great pics of the kids on the farm!

One of my favorite pictures! Mya LOVES riding with my dad in the truck and seeing all the animals.  She asks him multiple times a day to take her for a ride!  I used to love doing the same thing when I was a little girl!

Watching the horses

Papa rounding up the horses

And taming the Bull! I was terrified at this point!

She owns the place!

Little Monkeys

Mya ADORES our neighbor boys, especially little Aiden! They yell to eachother from across the street and BEG each of their mothers to play together daily!  They are definitely 2 peas in a pod!  I can only imagine what it will be like when they are old enough to really get into some trouble!

MaMa Mya Pizza Pya!

Mya and I had a pizza making party!
She LOVED making them, but wasn't too interested in eating them! :-(

YUM!

Fort Sheridan

Saturday was a gorgeous day so Matt and I decided to take the kids for a "hike" at Fort Sheridan in Highland Park http://www.fortsheridan.com/. We took the path down to the beach along Lake Michigan.  Although the beach is very rocky, the view is absolutely gorgeous.   Mya LOVED throwing rocks into the water and didn't want to leave.

I highly suggest visiting this beautiful area!

Preschool Already?

Today was a BIG day at the Wiegman household!  Mya started PRESCHOOL!!! She didn't seem the slightest bit nervous! She had her backpack and was ready to go! She's been asking ALL summer when she was going to get to go school and TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! She was a little bummed that she didn't get to ride the school bus, but was side-tracked when I gave her a big box of Goldfish bags to take for snacks.... no school snacks for my little allergy girl! :-(

At her "hook"

I gave Mya her name tag to "check-in" and she went in without EVER looking back! I was so relieved... but a little hurt! All the other kids were crying for their Mommies! Not my girl.... she was ready for school!
Mya and the twins were sitting on the rug waiting to be picked up after class.  I asked Mya who she played with at school today.... "Brookey and Addison." Of course!

The 3 Amigos
Mya grabbed her backpack and was ready to head home!  I asked the teacher how she did.  Her response, "She did great! She acted like she's done this forever!"

Mya's Sports Class

On Wednesday, Mya started her Sports Class at Kits.  We thought it would be a good idea to get her involved in some activities that will expose her to different sports, encourage her to follow directions, and increase her listening skills.  We also thought it would be a good idea for her to do a class that WE are NOT involved in.  She needs to work on being independent and doing things without Mommy and Daddy....especially since preschool starts this week!

This sports class exposes her to a variety of sports.  This week she worked on her soccer skills. Next week will be baseball.  The class is about 8, 3 year-olds.  The class is all boys except for Mya and Bailey.  I'll be honest, it's complete chaos!  But.. at least she's running around and learning a little about each sport!

Mya was so excited to start her class. She talked about it days before and was full of excitement in the carride there.  BUT.... as soon as we walked in, she got very nervous.  She became hysterical when it was time to go onto the field WITHOUT Mommy! She quickly became the "teacher's pet" when she refused to stand on her circle.  Matt looked at me and said, "Uh-oh... a teacher's pet just like her Mommy!"

Ready for Sports Class!

The Teacher's Pet... her facial expression is classic!

Then, she warmed up! And... was actually pretty good!

CHAOS.

Dribbling.

Not sure why, but Coach Jill decided it was a good idea to play Duck, Duck, Goose with a bunch of toddlers.  It was a trainwreck.  Anytime someone was "goosed" they ALL got up and started chasing each other!  EEK!
