It's amazing...

It's amazing that when you are just downright exhausted, she knows that you need a break.

It's amazing that just when you consider going back to teach fulltime rather than being home with your own daughter, she takes a 3.5 hour nap and wakes up an entirely new child.

It's amazing that at about 6:30 you are usually thinking, "Man, is it bedtime yet?", but tonight you were thinking, "Man, it's already bedtime."

It's amazing how one tooth can cause your child to become the devil.

It's amazing how .8ml of baby tylenol can make your child become an angel.

It's amazing that just when you are at your wit's end and have had enough, she gives you the most gentle, loving hug and kiss.

It's amazing how one sweet little "hi" during bathtime can make all the horrific moments during the day disappear.

It's amazing how the sweet sounds of a giggle can make you forget the shrill sounds of her scream only moments prior.

It's amazing how much you can love one human being...it's just amazing.

Kohl Museum with Quentin

We met Uncle Eric, Aunt Amy, and Quentin at the Kohl Museum in Glenview over the weekend. The kids had a great time exploring, touching, and pretending!
Mya took Quentin for a ride! This picture scares me.... I can only imagine this same scene 15 years from now as they are "cruisin" down the road with the music blaring. Can we keep them our little babies forever? Mya and Daddy had fun with the giant water table.
Aye, Aye Captain. Hopefully it won't be a 3 hour tour.

Mya took someone's order at Potbelly's.

Mya LOVED this station....and there really wasn't much to it. You stand on the shiny, silver scale and it weighs you. The milk jugs light up according to your weight. She is 25 lbs. Mommy didn't stand on the shiny, silver scale.

Mya and Q got wet at the water table.

Hmmm... this wasn't really a specific station. She just decided to climb the table.

Close up.

"Sing Sing" In the Snow

Only crazy Chicagoans would enjoy a sunny, 45 degree day with a "sing sing" in the snow! Mya loved every minute and we look forward to more warm days in the park!

Bathtime Buddies

These are the pictures that kids end up resenting their parents for later in life. However, last night, they had a great time and didn't mind posing at all! I literally had to pull Mya out of the tub kicking and screaming!

Kissing Bandit!

Mya can't resist hugging and kissing her twinkie friends, Brooke and Addison! I have joked to their Mommy that Mya is somewhat of a "sexual predator." She goes in for the attack whether the girls want it or not. They usually just stand their with a stunned look on their face as Mya shows them some love! It seems so wrong to tell Mya to "stop hugging and kissing." I have put her in timeout for hitting and pulling hair. But, is it wrong to put her in timeout for being too loving?!
